Right-Handed Cursive Sand Letter Cards

Introduce cursive for the right-handed student with these Sand Letter Cards when he is nearing the end of his largely oral lessons. The student uses his index finger to trace over the sand on the card to feel the letter as he says the sound(s). Teach him how to follow the numerals and arrows for correct stroking and say their sounds. When tracing, Cursive Sand Letter Cards are held on the same slant as a writing paper or notebook, to correctly feel the stroking. Lift the tracing finger where indicated by “two strokes.”Otherwise, use one continuous stroke. While tracing, the student must say all the sounds for each letter, which he has already memorized.
