Left-Handed Cursive Sand Letter Cards

Introduce cursive for the left-handed student with these Sand Letter Cards when he is nearing the end of his largely oral lessons. The student uses his index finger to trace over the sand on the card to feel the letter as he says the sound(s). Teach him to follow the numerals and arrows for correct stroking. Cursive Letter Cards are held on the same slant as writing paper when tracing, to correctly feel the stroking. Pick up the finger only when indicated or imperative. Otherwise, use continuous stroking. While tracing, the student must say all the sounds for each letter, which should have been already memorized.
